Day 1: Fly from Zanzibar to Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your luxury safari begins with a pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar. Our Zanzibar guide will transfer you to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) for your flight to Arusha. The flight takes approximately 1.5–2 hours depending on the schedule. Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, your safari guide will welcome you and begin the journey to Tarangire National Park, located about 2–2.5 hours drive from Arusha. Enjoy your first game drive through Tarangire, famous for its ancient baobab trees, large elephant herds, and diverse wildlife. Search for lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and other animals before arriving at your luxury lodge. Relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Tarangire.

After breakfast, begin your full-day Tarangire adventure with a unique walking safari experience, allowing you to discover the smaller details of the African wilderness with an expert guide. Continue with an exciting game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes, searching for large elephant herds, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and many bird species. Tarangire is especially famous for its incredible elephant population and beautiful scenery around the Tarangire River. With luck, you may witness predator moments such as hunting attempts or animal interactions. Later in the afternoon, return to your luxury accommodation to relax, enjoy the swimming pool, watch the sunset, and experience a peaceful evening in the African wilderness.

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and drive approximately 2–2.5 hours to Karatu, located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today is dedicated to cultural exploration for travelers who want to discover the traditions, lifestyle, and heritage of Tanzania. Visit local communities, learn about traditional ways of living, interact with local people, and experience the rich culture surrounding the famous safari areas. This cultural day provides a deeper connection beyond wildlife, allowing you to understand the people and history of Tanzania. Later, return to your luxury lodge in Karatu, relax, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before your next adventure to Ngorongoro Crater.

After breakfast, enjoy a short transfer from Karatu to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, approximately 30–45 minutes drive. Today you will travel towards the Ngorongoro Crater rim, one of Africa’s most spectacular natural wonders. Along the way, enjoy beautiful highland landscapes and views of the surrounding areas. Upon arrival, relax at your luxury lodge while enjoying breathtaking views of the crater. The peaceful environment offers the perfect preparation for tomorrow’s exciting crater exploration. In the evening, experience the beauty of the African sunset from the crater rim and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere before dinner.

Start your day with a special walking safari experience around the crater rim before descending approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers one of the best opportunities in Tanzania to see the Big Five, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the rare black rhino. Explore the crater floor while searching for zebras, wildebeests, hippos, flamingos, and many other wildlife species. Enjoy a bush lunch near the hippo pool surrounded by incredible scenery. After breakfast, begin your journey from Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park, a scenic drive of approximately 3–4 hours depending on stops and wildlife sightings. Continue with a game drive while searching for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and other species. Upon arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ), our Zanzibar guide will welcome you and transfer you comfortably back to your hotel or preferred location.
