Day 1: Fly from Zanzibar to Northern Serengeti – Mara River Area
Your adventure begins with a transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) for your flight to Northern Serengeti. The flight to Kogatende Airstrip takes approximately 2.5–3 hours, landing near the famous Mara River area. Upon arrival, meet your safari guide and begin your first game drive through Northern Serengeti. Explore the migration routes while searching for wildebeests, zebras, elephants, lions, leopards, and other wildlife. During the migration season, you may witness herds gathering near the river preparing for crossing, with crocodiles waiting in the water and predators watching from nearby. Enjoy a bush breakfast, bush lunch, and a beautiful Serengeti sunset before relaxing at your camp.

Day 2: Full-Day Great Migration River Crossing Experience
After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the Northern Serengeti around the Mara River, where the incredible Great Migration drama takes place. Experience the unforgettable sight of thousands of wildebeests and zebras gathering together before making their dangerous journey across the river. With luck, witness nature’s most dramatic moments as crocodiles attempt ambushes in the water, lions wait for opportunities, and other predators take advantage of the migration. Enjoy a bush lunch surrounded by the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive. End the day with spectacular views of the Serengeti plains and return to camp for dinner.

Day 3: Northern Serengeti Migration & Predator Action Safari
Today offers another opportunity to explore the Northern Serengeti and search for unforgettable migration moments along the Mara River. After breakfast, your guide will take you through different areas where wildebeest herds, zebras, and predators are often found. The Northern Serengeti is one of the best places to experience predator action, with lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas following the movement of the migration. With luck, you may witness thrilling scenes such as predators chasing prey, territorial fights, or dramatic survival moments near the river. Enjoy a peaceful bush lunch in the wilderness before continuing your safari. In the evening, relax and enjoy a stunning sunset with a refreshing sundowner experience overlooking the Serengeti landscape.

Day 4: Final Northern Serengeti Game Drive – Fly to Zanzibar
Enjoy your final morning game drive through Northern Serengeti, giving you one last chance to experience the incredible wildlife and migration atmosphere before your journey back to Zanzibar. You may choose the optional Hot Air Balloon Safari for a breathtaking sunrise view above the Serengeti plains followed by a special bush breakfast. After your final safari adventure, transfer to Kogatende Airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar, taking approximately 2.5–3 hours depending on the route and schedule. Upon arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ), our Zanzibar guide will welcome you and transfer you back to your hotel.
