Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel or the airport in Arusha. Enjoy a scenic 2 to 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, where a delicious bush breakfast will be served at the beautiful Tarangire River Picnic Site, surrounded by ancient baobab trees and incredible wildlife.

Spend the day exploring one of Tanzania’s finest wildlife parks. Watch large elephant herds gathering along the Tarangire River while searching for lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, ostriches, and many colourful bird species. Around midday, enjoy a freshly prepared bush lunch before continuing your afternoon game drive through the park’s spectacular landscapes.

In the late afternoon, leave Tarangire and drive approximately 1 hour to Karatu, where you can relax and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic 30-minute drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending approximately 600 metres into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife, the crater offers an excellent opportunity to spot the Big Five, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the rare black rhino.

Your game drive also offers chances to see hippos, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, jackals, flamingos, and many other bird species. Later, enjoy a delicious bush lunch at the Ngoitokitok Picnic Site near the famous hippo pool while surrounded by spectacular crater scenery.

After your final game drive, begin the 3.5 to 4-hour drive back to Arusha, where your unforgettable safari comes to an end.
