Your private safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha | Moshi at around 7:00 AM before beginning the scenic 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy views of local villages, Maasai communities, and the beautiful countryside as you approach the park.

After entering Tarangire through the main gate, your adventure begins with a game drive through landscapes filled with giant baobab trees and open savannah. Continue towards the Tarangire River Picnic Site, a beautiful area where you can enjoy a freshly prepared bush breakfast surrounded by nature. While enjoying your morning coffee and breakfast, watch elephants moving along the river, giraffes feeding on acacia trees, zebras grazing nearby, and colourful birds flying through the trees.

After breakfast, continue exploring the river area, where wildlife gathers, offering excellent opportunities to see elephants, buffaloes, impalas, wildebeests, and possibly lions resting in the shade.

Continue your game drive through Tarangire’s diverse landscapes, including the famous Silale Swamp area, one of the park’s best wildlife viewing locations. This area attracts large numbers of animals, especially during the dry season when wildlife gathers around the remaining water sources.

Around midday, enjoy a delicious bush lunch at the Silale Swamp Picnic Site, where you can relax while surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness. As you enjoy your meal, you may see elephants crossing the swamp, buffaloes grazing nearby, zebras moving across the plains, and birds such as eagles and hornbills flying overhead.

After lunch, continue your afternoon game drive searching for lions, giraffes, wildebeests, warthogs, and other wildlife before leaving the park

Enjoy your final game drive through Tarangire as the afternoon light creates perfect conditions for photography. This is often a beautiful time to spot elephants returning to the river, giraffes walking across the golden grasslands, and predators becoming more active.

Later, exit the park and begin the 2-hour drive back to Arusha or Moshi, arriving in the early evening after an unforgettable day surrounded by Tanzania’s wildlife and landscapes.
